The Funky Pelican in Flagler Beach

Old followers already know how much we love the Palm Coast area and Flagler Beach is very close by and is another favorite spot of ours and the last time we were there without our third traveler (our poodle Leia who travels almost everywhere with us) we decided to try out The Funky Pelican right off A1A in Flagler Beach.

As you can tell from the above photo gallery and video, the scenery just can’t be beat! I love that they have these huge windows inside that make you feel as if you are right on the water. They also have outdoor seating which we will always decline due to personal preference. But if that is your thing then they can accommodate you for sure.

As beautiful as the place is you would expect to have an amazing culinary experience here as well, but you would be disappointed. Now, that’s not saying that the food is bad necessarily, it just wasn’t at the level of quality that we expected for a seafood restaurant on the beach. My husband had a grouper sandwich and I had a crab cake sandwich and you can kind of see how plain Jane they were by the photos in the first photo gallery. Again, it wasn’t bad but it definitly did not blow us away and make this a staple place to eat. Nevertheless, it was decent, the staff was very friendly, and the view absolutely can’t be beat.
