If you have been following along, you know that the St. Augustine area is one of our favorite places to visit when we get a free weekend and we are always finding new places we love. Recently we were in the area and were desperately in need of a good cup of coffee and wanted to try a business that wasn’t a chain and we found the Grower’s Alliance Cafe & Gift Shop to experience.
Once inside, we were really glad we stopped in because it isn’t “just” a coffee shop. They also have fair trade gifts and coffees from places such as Kenya where they also give a portion of their sales to. Definitely a win/win/win situation for everyone. I wasn’t able to take photos of all of the merchandise they have because there were some children in there and I didn’t want to get someone’s child in a photo(especially since it would have been close) but they do have lots of gift items. Most of the gift items were made by women in other countries which I thought was really cool. I got a couple of things there for a future giveaway on my blog’s Instagram page, which I will have when it reaches 1000 followers so make sure you are following along!
My favorite part about the entire store was this stand out back that said “Take a Plant, Leaf a Plant”. I absolutely just loved that idea. I didn’t take any of the plants because we weren’t heading home for a couple of days, but I thought it was a really great idea on how to spread a little gardening love.
