Stumpknockers Restaurant in Inverness, Florida

When my mother and niece were visiting a few weeks ago we visited Stumpknockers in Inverness for dinner one night and loved it so much that I have been dying to bring James and let him experience it. They were shut down for maintenance when we tried to visit a few weeks ago, but last weekend we finally got the opportunity to try it again.

I will say that I wish I had taken photos when my mom was here because their dinner menu is much better than their lunch menu. Their lunch isn’t bad by any means but it is mostly sandwiches and hamburgers with a couple of daily specials (when we went it was fried catfish or a turkey dinner) which we just weren’t expecting. We could have asked for the dinner menu and ordered off of it, but they did have a sign out front expressing some staffing issues so we didn’t want to put anyone out.

Both times I have been the service has been amazing. Every employee there seems happy and they definitly try to make you feel like you are at home. Personally I love the decor there too because everything in there just screams “Florida” and I love that.

Stumpknockers has a bar inside and offers outdoor seating as well. They are also child friendly so don’t be afraid to bring your kids. Our 6 year old niece loved it! Their location also allows for a nice walk downtown afterwards so really it’s just a win all around. It really has good food and good service and it will be a regular place of ours to visit for years to come.

Now that I’ve talked about Stumpknockers, I would like to ask a question. Obviously not all our experiences are great ones, and we spent a lot of time and money visiting different places and eating at different restaurants. So my question is would people be interested in hearing about our bad experiences too? I would try to do it in a way that is factual and based on experience and not a bashing of the place or restaurant. I’m thinking about doing this because everyone’s time and finances are precious and if I can save someone from having a bad time or wasting their money I wouldn’t mind doing it. Just let me know in the comments!

Success! You're on the list.
